Concrete Raising Process
Many people look at an uneven or broken slab of concrete and think: “how can this possibly be fixed?” Luckily, the process for raising, leveling, and repairing broken concrete is actually fairly simple…and costs a lot less than repairing the whole slab.
Homeowners and commercial building owners looking for poly leveling in Vancouver, Surrey, and communities across British Columbia trust Quantum because we produce results. Our concrete leveling process has been tried and tested over years of service on all types of concrete surfaces.
Here’s How Concrete Leveling Works
Step 1
The trained technicians at Quantum Concrete Leveling respond to a customer call for service. We locate the broken, sunken, or uneven concrete slab or slabs and perform a diagnostic evaluation to determine how to level the area. This includes figuring out how much polyurethane foam is needed to fill the void under the concrete to bring it back into balance with surrounding slabs.
Step 2
After confirming our diagnostic evaluation and determining how much material will be needed, it’s time to get started. We use an industrial drill to make small holes in the impacted concrete. These holes are about the size of a penny. Because the holes are so small, the amount of concrete dust on a given project is minimal.
Step 3
Once the holes have been drilled in the concrete, we slowly inject a polyurethane foam mixture into the holes to fill the void underneath the concrete and/or raise it up to level with surrounding concrete slabs. During this process we may even jump or walk around on the concrete we are raising to ensure the void below it is filled as completely as possible and that the concrete is sound and sturdy.
Step 4
Once we are satisfied that the concrete is completely flush and level, we fill and patch the small holes with new concrete. These filled holes will look slightly different from the surrounding concrete because concrete changes color as it weathers, but over time these holes will blend into their surroundings.
Step 5
We ensure the polyurethane foam has hardened and that the repaired concrete is completely safe to walk on. We clean up any concrete dust or debris created by the process and leave your space looking just as we found it.
Step 6
You enjoy your newly-repaired concrete! Results are permanent so you can rest easy that you made an excellent investment in the improvement of your home or commercial business property.
