What types of concrete leveling materials and techniques do you use?
Over the years, we have refined our techniques to focus on leveling concrete using polyurethane foam. The reason for this is because it is the most effective, durable, and efficient material to meet our customers’ needs.
Our concrete raising technique is also fairly standardized across projects. After locating the affected concrete slab or area, we drill small holes through the concrete to gain access to the void below. We then pump polyurethane foam through the holes to slowly raise and level the concrete slab back so it is even with surrounding surfaces. We then fill the concrete holes, clean up the small amount of concrete dust created by the process, and you are able to use the surfaces again within a day.

Why should I repair my cracked or broken concrete?
The biggest reason to repair your sunken, cracked, or broken concrete is safety. Concrete that is not level is a major trip hazard and can lead to serious injury, death, and liability for you or your company. Leveling concrete should be your top priority if your home or commercial property has walkways, driveways, stairs, or other surfaces that are not safe to walk on.
Another compelling reason to level concrete is to protect and even increase the value of your home or commercial property. Concrete that is broken and uneven is unsightly, and potential buyers will be put off by the look of it and the prospect of having to address the issue themselves. Leveling concrete can be an investment in the value of your property.
Finally, fixing broken or cracked concrete can diminish or even eliminate any issues you are having with basement moisture. Broken concrete can put enormous and uneven pressure on the soil around your home’s foundation, leading to cracks and water intrusion. Water in your basement means there is a potential for dangerous mold growth – this is a slippery slope. If you have a “wet basement,” try leveling your concrete – it might just fix the problem!
Will the repaired concrete match my existing concrete?
No, but we will get as close as we can. Additionally, concrete leveling usually requires only very small portions (holes about the size of a penny) of existing concrete to be drilled and replaced, so the new concrete areas are hardly noticeable. The reason it is so hard to match concrete is because wear and tear over time causes concrete to become discolored. Eventually, the concrete filled holes used to perform the leveling service will become camouflaged into the rest of the concrete.
We’re a municipality? How can void filling help with culvert repair?
Polyurethane void filling is a great option for culvert repair because it provides a structural and waterproof solution. This type of material is strong enough to withstand the pressure from water running through the culvert, while also providing an effective seal to keep out water, debris, and other substances that can damage or weaken the structure over time. By filling in any voids or cracks with polyurethane material, you can ensure that the culvert remains strong and secure for many years to come. Additionally, it is a cost-effective option when compared to traditional methods of repair and can be installed quickly and easily with minimal disruption. Polyurethane void filling can be used to fill in culverts that are no longer in use or to fill gaps between old and new culvert walls.
What is resin underpinning and why do I need it?
Resin underpinning is a type of foundation repair method used to strengthen and stabilize existing foundations. It involves injecting resin into the soil around and underneath the foundation, causing the soil to compact, filling any voids, and creating a strong bond between the foundation and soil. This method can be used for both new construction projects as well as old foundations in need of repairs. Resin underpinning using a deep injection technique is minimally invasive because no excavation of the existing foundation is necessary.
The benefits of resin underpinning over traditional methods are numerous, including cost savings, a quicker installation time, no need for heavy equipment or excavations, and it can be used on almost any type of soil without causing disruption to the area surrounding the structure. Additionally, because resin provides more flexibility than traditional underpinning methods, it can be used to reinforce foundations with slight movement due to seasonal soil changes.
Is resin underpinning better than concrete underpinning?
Concrete underpinning is the traditional choice for foundation structure support, but resin underpinning has been gaining traction in recent years due to its many advantages. Resin underpinning offers a number of benefits over concrete underpinning including faster installation time, less disruption to the surrounding area, and improved water management. Resin underpinning also requires less excavation than concrete, so it can be a more affordable option for some projects.
Do you provide soil stabilization?
Yes, soil stabilization is an important part of making sure construction sites and concrete is stable. Learn more about our soil stabilization in Vancouver services here.
Do you also offer mudjacking?
If you’ve heard of mudjacking, that’s an older technique. So no, we do not offer mudjacking, but instead we offer poly foam concrete leveling. This is a far superior solution to mudjacking. Plus mudjacking creates much larger holes in your concrete which we know most home owners don’t want. So if you’re looking for mudjacking, give us a call. We can do anything mudjacking can, but for a superior value.
