Frequently Asked Questions | Quantum Concrete Leveling
If you’re looking for concrete leveling in Vancouver, Surrey, or a nearby community, you probably have some questions. At Quantum Concrete Leveling, we want to provide you with all the information you need – here are some of our customers’ most frequently asked questions:
Why should I level my concrete?
Uneven, broken, or sunken concrete can be a major trip-and-fall hazard, so the most compelling reason to repair your concrete is safety. The last thing you want is for someone to injure themselves on your property.
Another great reason to level your concrete is that it can enhance the value and curb appeal of your home or commercial building. Broken and busted concrete is an eyesore, while a smooth walkway or driveway is a pleasure to look at.
No matter the reason, concrete leveling is a worthwhile investment. Learn more about Quantum’s residential concrete leveling and commercial concrete leveling services.
What services does Quantum Concrete Leveling offer?
At Quantum Concrete Leveling, we provide concrete leveling services utilizing polyurethane foam. Other names for this service are poly jacking, poly leveling, and concrete raising – these all mean the same thing. We level all types of concrete surfaces for both residential and commercial customers – concrete driveways, sidewalks, stairs, loading docks, warehouse floors, building foundations, garage floors, pool decks, patios, slabs, and more.
We do not offer mudjacking, which levels concrete using a concrete slurry mixture. The reason we use polyurethane foam instead is because it is more durable, longer-lasting, faster-drying, and more eco-friendly than mud jacking mixtures.
What’s the process for leveling concrete?
Leveling concrete is a fairly simple process, certainly much easier than removing and replacing concrete.
- First, we diagnose the issue with the affected concrete to determine how much polyurethane foam we will need to use to bring it level.
- Next, we use a special industrial drill to create small, two inch holes in the portions of the concrete that need to be raised.
- Then we inject the polyurethane foam into and below the concrete, slowly raising it. During this process, you may see us walking or jumping on the concrete to ensure a good fill.
- Once the concrete is raised sufficiently, we fill the holes with new concrete and clean up our work area. Polyurethane foam dries extremely quickly so you should be able to walk or drive on the concrete again within a day, though that depends on the scope of the project.

Why should I choose concrete repair over replacement?
The biggest reason for most people who choose concrete repair over replacement is cost. Concrete replacement generally costs about four times as much as repairing the same area of concrete. While some concrete is beyond repair, most can be leveled by an expert team. If you’re wondering whether your concrete is worth saving, give Quantum Concrete Leveling a call today.
Another reason to repair your concrete is convenience. Concrete repair is a quick process that requires only minimal disruption of your daily life. In contrast, replacing concrete requires huge equipment, a lot of time and manpower, and leaves a big mess. You will also need to wait much longer to use newly poured concrete. In contrast, concrete that has been leveled using polyurethane foam (the preferred method of Quantum Concrete Leveling) can be used again the same day it was repaired.
